Hi everyone! Just a quick request for prayers and good vibes for Monday morning, July 12th. My 18-month scan is at 9 am and I am very, very pleased to tell you that I will only have to have CT scans done this time instead of the usual full-on PET scan. I think I mentioned that each PET scan is equivalent to about 300 chest x-rays and, since I’ve already had more than a few, I thought I would take a chance and ask my doctor at the Bone Marrow Group if he would consider leaving out the radioactive dye part this go ‘round; ya know, minimize my cumulative ”glow factor”. I was delighted when he quickly agreed! A great sign, I think and it’s more than a little nice to be at this point and I will gladly bow out of the medical spot light…permanently.
